W 9th and South Street
This project was competed late summer of 2023.
In December 2020, the City of Waterloo received a Traffic Safety Improvement Program grant of $377,000 from the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) for the safety improvement of the W9th and South Street intersection. This grant would hep fund and support the construction of this mini roundabout.
On February 7, 2022 Shive-Hattery, an engineering and construction firm, presented to the Waterloo City Council a discussion on putting a roundabout at the intersection of W. 9th and South Street in Waterloo.
