Important Dates

Note: The following is a list of typical dates pertaining to requests required under the Zoning or Subdivision Ordinance. Such dates are subject to change. Please call the Planning and Zoning Office for confirmation of dates regarding a specific request. Some requests require review and approval by multiple boards and commissions.

Planning and Zoning Commission
Turn in Deadline: Three weeks prior to meeting.
Meeting: The second Tuesday of following month at 4:00 p.m.

Board of Adjustment
Turn In Deadline: Second Tuesday of every month.
Meeting: Fourth Tuesday of every month at 4:00 p.m.

City Council
Many requests required under the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance to be reviewed by the City Council must first be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The City Council meets the first and third Mondays at 5:30 p.m.. Requests requiring Planning and Zoning Commission review will typically go before the City Council 1-4 weeks after the Planning and Zoning Commission has taken action on it.

Technical Review Committee
This is a Committee of technical personnel whose primary function is to report to the Planning and Zoning Commission upon applications requiring review by the Commission. The Committee serves the Commission in an advisory capacity and comments upon a petition’s site characteristics, suitability, physical features, ecosystem, public services available, socioeconomic factors, and other concerns and matters that are relevant. The Technical Review Committee meets the 1st Tuesday of every month at 1:30pm.

Historic Preservation Commission
Turn In Deadline: First Tuesday of every month.
Meeting: Third Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m.
