Free Jamaica Day Celebration
A Jamaica Day celebration is being held at the Waterloo Center for the Arts on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 9:00am – 2:00pm. In partnership with the City of Waterloo and City of Cedar Falls, the Waterloo Center for the Arts is excited to host and celebrate Jamaica Day in conjunction with the holiday held on the same date in Jamaica.
Attendees can experience the rich heritage of Jamaica. The City of Waterloo, along with its new sister city, Morant Bay of St. Thomas Parish, Jamaica, invite you to enjoy a day of discussion that will include mingling with vendors, tasting Caribbean cuisine and enjoying live performances in partnership with the Waterloo Human Rights Commission.
Admission is free. The event is open to the public. The program starts at 9:00am and the vendor fair begins at 10:00am and runs until 2:00pm.
